Event description

The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

March of Dimes Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood adds a little flavor to fundraising by bringing guests together alongside Greater Philadelphia's most talented chefs to support the health of moms and babies. Today the U.S. remains among the most dangerous nations for childbirth, especially for families of color. With your help, March of Dimes is ensuring all pregnant moms have access to care, addressing inequity in maternal health, and strengthening families across America.

Signature Chefs events feature local culinary talent who create a selection of fine cuisine for an exclusive audience. Our chefs are artists, innovators and philanthropists, and we look forward to sharing their talents at the event.

2023 Ambassador Family: The Coble Family 

After a devastating pregnancy loss, Madi and Brian were ecstatic to learn they were pregnant with a baby girl.  To say that Madi and Brian were nervous throughout their pregnancy was a understatement due to the prior loss that they had suffered.  At 29 weeks Madi began to experience pain at work which she shrugged off as Braxton hicks, however after some encouragement from her team at work she decided it was time to see her doctor.  To Madi’s surprise, she was in labor.  She spent 10 days in and out of the hospital then at 31 weeks Madi’s water broke and just 6 minutes Avery arrived.  Avery spent 50 grueling days in the NICU before coming home to her parents.  No family should have to experience what the Cobles have which is why they have dedicated themselves to raising funds and awareness to support the mission of March of Dimes.

2023 HONOREE

This year, we are honoring two leaders through this campaign, one for their longstanding commitment to March of Dimes, and the other for their dedication to excellence in healthcare. The recipient of March of Dimes 2023 Greater Philadelphia Lifetime Achievement Award is Ms. Sue Schick. Sue is the President and Chief Revenue Officer at Zelis Healthcare, and also serves as Board Secretary on March of Dimes National Board of Trustees. For more than 30 years Sue has dedicated herself through her career and volunteer endeavors to serving her community, ensuring equal access to quality healthcare and funding lifesaving research. 

2023 HONOREE


Dixieanne James is March of Dimes Greater Philadelphia Excellence in Healthcare Award recipient. Dixieanne is the President, Central Region, at Jefferson Health and has dedicated her career to improving the patient experience and helping enhance the lives of people in the communities that Jefferson serves. She makes it a priority to partner with community organizations to jointly meet the health and wellness needs of under resourced communities. Dixieanne is passionate about breaking down barriers that many expecting families in our region are faced with, including nutrition security and cardiovascular issues.
